Frequently Asked Questions

Don’t hesitate to reach out in case of any doubts, concerns or need of clarification. Each healing technique is unique and so is Inner Child Healing!

What’s the difference between emotional healing and therapy?

Therapy is often a more clinical or diagnostic process, depending on the practitioner. Emotional healing — especially in the context of inner child or somatic work — focuses more on reconnecting with yourself, processing emotions safely, and creating new ways of relating to your inner world. The two can absolutely complement each other while taking different approach for a similar goal.

I’ve already done therapy or mindset work — what is different about I.C.H?

Often, we’ve worked on our thoughts but haven’t yet connected with our emotions or our nervous system responses. In Inner Child Work, emotional healing often involves going beyond understanding, and into gently feeling and integrating — especially for long-held wounds, which helps go beyond mental understanding and into full body/mind healing.

How long does emotional healing take? Will I ever feel truly better?

Healing is not a linear process, and there’s no fixed timeline. Some shifts are immediate, others unfold slowly over time. The goal isn’t perfection, but more freedom, more self-compassion, and more ease. And yes — it is absolutely possible to feel better, more connected, and more whole again. It is possible to see great results in 6 months, while others might take 1 year.

I’ve never done anything like this before — is it okay if I don’t know what I’m doing?

Absolutely. You’re not expected to come with answers, just openness. Many people start this journey unsure of how to “connect” or what to say. Part of the work is relearning how to listen to yourself — and I’m here to guide you through that at your pace.

What does a healing session with you typically look like?

Every session is unique, but they often involve gentle conversation, guided reflection, emotional inquiry, and sometimes somatic (body-based) practices like grounding or breath awareness. You’ll never be pushed — I hold space for what feels safe, empowering, and relevant to you in that moment. Throughout sessions, we will get to reconnect and understand what the Inner Child means, in order to integrate it safely and with more joy in your everyday life.
